1:1 Individual Visits

Recognized by OLTCA for our partnership with Cooksville Care Centre

Creative engagement and one-to-one connection can help reduce isolation and improve emotional well-being.

These visits create quiet, meaningful moments between a resident and a professional artist who require and prefer a one to one support.
Personalized Experiences - Each participants gets a one-on-one meaningful engagement session with a choice of what to paint based on their interests.
Meaningful Connections - Our artists build real relationships, offering presence, patience, and encouragement and companionship throughout the session.
Confidence & Joy - Every participant finishes with a completed painting and a sense of pride.

We can tailor the program to:
✨ Behavioural Management Program (Support Expressions)
✨ Reminiscing
✨ Specialized men's program
✨ New resident adjustment program
✨ Younger resident program
✨ Those who prefer one-on-one over group settings

Why It Works

“You know what? When I’m here painting I am so focused I completely forget about all the pain in my back and body.” - Esther

Our one-to-one visits use colour, creativity, familiarity, and conversation to create meaningful moments of connection. Many residents become more engaged, focused, social, and emotionally uplifted during visits.

Success Story

• “I feel better now that I painted.” - Margaret

• Irene said “We did create something today. We created a friendship. Are we doing a tree today?" She remembered. We worked on a forest, and her daughter joined.

• We learned from the staff that this is the only program Earl attends. Noel came eagerly and waited while I was with Earl.

• Annie is new to the home. Her daughter Denise was visiting and was very impressed with how much her mom did. She did well with hand over hand prompting.

• If you give Jim time he gets into it. He got very focused and did much better today.

• “I’ve been ready since day one.” – Zohra
