Role Summary: Muralist
The Muralist designs and paints large-scale wall and door murals that enhance senior living communities and create spaces residents, staff, and families enjoy. You’ll work closely with the Young at Heart team and care communities to bring murals to life through thoughtful planning, careful execution, and strong artistic skill.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Program Delivery
- Arrive prepared with all required paint, brushes, supplies, and tools.
- Prepare surfaces as needed
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized worksite during the project.
- Design and paint custom murals for senior living communities.
- Work from mockups and transfer to wall area.
- Adapt designs to fit walls, doors, hallways, and other architectural features.
- Ensure the space is clean and ready at the end of each workday and upon completion.
Resident Engagement
- Create a positive and respectful environment while working in senior living communities.
- Invite residents to observe, and when appropriate, participate in small parts of the mural process.
- Represent Young at Heart with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.
Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain consistent communication with the Regional Manager or project lead.
- Share progress photos and updates throughout the project.
- Collaborate on design approval, placement, sizing, and final walkthroughs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of painting experience, mural experience preferred.
- Strong drawing, painting, and composition skills.
- Confident working on large surfaces.
- Reliable vehicle for travel
- Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly with clients and team members.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-directed.

- Professional, friendly, and flexible in changing project settings.
