About Us
Welcome to Young at Heart Painting! Founded in 2017 by Kimberley, our mission is to bring the transformative power of art to seniors. Inspired by her visits to a long-term care home where her grandmother resided, Kimberley recognized the need for innovative art programming. Determined to make a difference, she began teaching seniors the joy of painting. With a background in long-term care and her own artistic skills inherited from her father, Kimberley started conducting workshops for seniors. The response was overwhelmingly positive, leading to the birth of Young at Heart Painting. From 2018 to early 2020, we expanded to 30 locations, offering painting classes and events for nursing staff, volunteers, and managers. Although the COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges, we adapted by transitioning to virtual events, ensuring that creativity and connection flourished. Now, in 2023, as the world gradually returns to normalcy, we are thrilled to resume in-person sessions. With our dedicated team of artists across Ontario, we're eager to bring the joy of painting back to seniors in retirement homes and long-term care facilities. At Young at Heart Painting, we believe in the power of art to inspire, connect, and foster self-expression. Our vision is to create a supportive and uplifting environment where everyone, regardless of age or experience, can tap into their creativity and discover the immense joy that painting brings.
