Kimberley is the dedicated founder of Young at Heart Painting. With a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older adults, Kimberley has successfully created a platform that encourages self-expression and creativity among seniors, no matter what their experience. Drawing from her background in marketing and graphic design, Kimberley brings a unique blend of artistic expertise and organizational skills to the company. Her ability to coordinate engaging painting classes and events has made a positive impact on the well-being of thousands of seniors since 2018. Through Young at Heart Painting, Kimberley strives to create meaningful experiences that inspire others to embrace their artistic abilities and discover their self expression through art, no matter what age. |
Giovanna - Lead Art Instructor
Toronto, Ontario, Canada Giovanna is an experienced art instructor and member of the Young at Heart Painting team. With a passion for creativity, she loves guiding participants through the painting process, encouraging them to express themselves and connect with others. Originally from Venezuela, Giovanna is a talented artist, designer, and entrepreneur with a love for music, dance, and environmental advocacy. She believes in the power of painting to provide a space for mindfulness and exploration, and is committed to bringing this experience to every painting session with Young at Heart. |
Sierra - Art Instructor
York Region and Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada With a decade of self-taught artistic experience under her belt, Sierra possesses a diverse background that has enriched her creative journey. Having worked as a teacher, floral designer, and graphic designer, she brings a unique perspective to her artistry. Sierra is a versatile artist, well-versed in a range of mediums, including watercolour, graphite, acrylics, pencil crayons, and digital art. Sierra strives to capture the essence of the world around her, making her work a testament to her dedication to the evolving canvas of life and artistry. |
Nicole - Art Instructor
Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nicole is a self-taught artist who has been honing her talent over the last 9 years. After re-discovering art during a phase of deep self-discovery, Nicole re-sparked the joy she had as a child. In her paintings, Nicole’s use of bright colors and hopeful imagery aims to inspire people to create a bright life, no matter what darkness or suffering they have been through. Bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences is what Nicole is most passionate about, she is excited to share laughs, painting and joy with seniors who are truly, young at heart! |
Miranda - Art Instructor
San Diego, California, USA With a paintbrush in hand, Miranda lives out her passion for the arts through teaching others as well as creating her own artwork. She's an accomplished art instructor based in San Diego, with over 5 years of instructional experience. Miranda is deeply committed to fostering creativity within her community through her public and private painting events. Her patience, enthusiasm, and nurturing teaching style have empowered many budding artists to tap into their creative potential. Beyond her teaching, Miranda spends time in the studio growing in her artistic journey. She is an acrylic painter, and her art is deeply rooted in celebrating the female form, using it as a way to explore themes of identity, empowerment, and beauty. Miranda's dedication to both her craft and her students shines through in every stroke of her brush and every interaction in her classes. Sacramento, California, USA Fiona (she/her/they/them) is a passionate artist committed to making art accessible to all. With a lifelong dedication to the arts and a multimedia background, Fiona’s creative journey has been as diverse as it is vibrant. Throughout her college years, Fiona was inspired to pursue a deep exploration of art therapy. This foundational experience instilled in her a belief in the transformative power of creativity and a commitment to using art as a tool for healing and connection. As a muralist, Fiona’s work adorns public spaces, infusing communities with color, meaning, and a sense of unity. Each mural tells a story, inviting viewers to engage with their surroundings and each other in new and meaningful ways. |

Kayli - Art Instructor
San Diego, California, USA Kayli's life revolves around a passion for creating and learning. She is a student at UC San Diego, studying cognitive science with a focus on design and interaction, blending her intellectual curiosity with her creative spirit. Where she gets to learn about design processes in her studies, she’s also deeply involved in the art world in her free time, specializing in acrylic and graphite media. Making art has been integral to Kayli’s life for as long as she can remember, and she loves bringing her thoughts and feelings to life and synthesizing pieces together from the world around her. Beyond the classroom and studio, she is also a dancer and loves to read and knit, which equip her with various outlets to engage her mind and express herself through creating. Encouraging others to explore their own creativity and watching them discover their artistic side is incredibly rewarding for her, explaining why she always wanted to become an art teacher growing up. Kayli’s journey is all about following her passions and continuously growing as an artist, a teacher, and student. |
Shreiyah - Art Instructor
Peel and Halton Region, Ontario, Canada Shreiya Gandhi is a self-taught mixed media artist with a passion for exploring various art mediums, including acrylics, watercolors, colored pencil, and resin. She enjoys teaching art and resin art workshops to all ages and brings a unique perspective to her work, drawing from her background as a PhD in Computer Science and former Data Analysis Manager. Shreiya also owns her own art studio Shreiya Art Studio and has been leading paint and sip parties for 2 years, where she shares her creativity with the community. Shreya strives to capture the beauty of nature through her artwork, blending creativity with her analytical insights. In her work, Shreiya emphasizes patience, clear communication, and creative techniques for self-expression. She fosters social engagement, mindfulness, and relaxation, making her sessions both enriching and soothing for participants of all ages. |
Sanaz - Art Instructor
York Region and Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada Sanaz Panahpour Darehshouri (SPD) is a second-generation artist with artistic qualities inherited from her mother. She has an intense understanding and feeling of art in various forms. SPD began working as an artist at the age of 14 and has developed her skills based on her experiences. SPD holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts. She has developed extensive skills in several painting styles, including pointillism, which is currently rare. She uses bold strokes of colour, making her artwork expressive and appealing. Apart from being a talented artist, she is also an accomplished writer. Throughout her career, Sanaz Panahpour Darehshouri has participated in several international art exhibitions, including those in Iran, Turkey, Dubai, and India. Sanaz finds immense joy in guiding aspiring artists, helping them unlock their creative potential and self-expression. She provides an encouraging environment that leaves everyone feeling accomplished and proud. |
Barkha - Art Instructor
Scarborough & East Toronto, Ontario, Canada Barkha is an accomplished illustrator and visual artist with extensive experience in creating captivating artwork across various mediums. Having published numerous picture books and collaborated with prestigious clients such as WWF, Penguin, and Orca Books, Barkha’s work is both diverse and playful. Known for her mastery of charcoals, acrylics, watercolors, and more, she loves experimenting with different materials to best express herself and push the boundaries of creativity. Her deep love for nature and the outdoors is a constant source of inspiration, and it’s reflected in much of her artwork, which often captures the beauty and serenity of the natural world. With a passion for sharing her knowledge and nurturing creativity in others, Barkha enjoys guiding people on their artistic journeys, helping them unlock their potential and create meaningful, personal works of art. Through her experience, she strives to make a lasting impact on both her audiences and those she works with, leaving them inspired and empowered by the process of creation. |
Nidhi Dumian - Digital Media Manager Intern
Nidhi is passionate about bringing joy to the world and that is what intrigued her about joining the Young at Heart team. As the company expands to more companies and communities, Nidhi's expertise will help us reach more people so that they can connect with their peers through painting events. Nidhi is dedicated to using her skills to build social media content, brand strategies and increase brand visibility to support the mission of bringing creativity to communities across Ontario, Canada and beyond. As a person who strongly believes that art brings people closer to their inner child, Nidhi is the perfect professional to be on the team. She is currently enrolled in Humber Polytechnic's Advertising and Media Management program and specializes in brand management and content creation. |
