Kimberley Smith - Founder & Owner
Kimberley is the dedicated founder of Young at Heart Painting. With a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older adults, Kimberley has successfully created a platform that encourages self-expression and creativity among seniors, no matter what their experience. Drawing from her background in marketing and graphic design, Kimberley brings a unique blend of artistic expertise and organizational skills to the company. Her ability to coordinate engaging painting classes and events has made a positive impact on the well-being of thousands of seniors since 2018. Through Young at Heart Painting, Kimberley strives to create meaningful experiences that inspire others to embrace their artistic abilities and discover their self expression through art, no matter what age. |
Giovanna - Lead Art Instructor
Toronto, Ontario, Canada Giovanna is an experienced art instructor and member of the Young at Heart Painting team. With a passion for creativity, she loves guiding participants through the painting process, encouraging them to express themselves and connect with others. Originally from Venezuela, Giovanna is a talented artist, designer, and entrepreneur with a love for music, dance, and environmental advocacy. She believes in the power of painting to provide a space for mindfulness and exploration, and is committed to bringing this experience to every painting session with Young at Heart. |
Lisa - Art Instructor
York Region, Ontario, Canada Lisa is a talented mural artist with a lifelong passion for creativity. Since her early years, she has been drawing and painting, fostering her artistic skills through art classes and studies in graphic design at George Brown College. Her artistic journey has also led her to discover a love for working with clay, becoming an active member of the Pine Tree Potters Guild in Aurora. In addition to her diverse artistic talents, Lisa has a background in landscape design. For years, she ran her own business specializing in designing landscapes and crafting stunning seasonal planters for both businesses and private homes. Her artistic touch brought beauty and vibrancy to outdoor spaces, showcasing her eye for detail and design. Lisa's true passion lies in working with seniors in Long Term Care, With an infectious enthusiasm, she inspires individuals to explore their own artistic potential. With her immense talent and genuine dedication, Lisa continues to make a profound artistic impact to her community, bringing joy and inspiration to the lives of those she encounters. |
Hilda - Art Instructor
York Region and Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada With a decade of self-taught artistic experience under her belt, Hilda possesses a diverse background that has enriched her creative journey. Having worked as a teacher, floral designer, and graphic designer, she brings a unique perspective to her artistry. Hilda is a versatile artist, well-versed in a range of mediums, including watercolour, graphite, acrylics, pencil crayons, and digital art. Hilda strives to capture the essence of the world around her, making her work a testament to her dedication to the evolving canvas of life and artistry. |
Fiona Drake - Art Instructor
Sacramento, California, USA Fiona (she/her/they/them) is a passionate artist committed to making art accessible to all. With a lifelong dedication to the arts and a multimedia background, Fiona’s creative journey has been as diverse as it is vibrant. Throughout her college years, Fiona was inspired to pursue a deep exploration of art therapy. This foundational experience instilled in her a belief in the transformative power of creativity and a commitment to using art as a tool for healing and connection. As a muralist, Fiona’s work adorns public spaces, infusing communities with color, meaning, and a sense of unity. Each mural tells a story, inviting viewers to engage with their surroundings and each other in new and meaningful ways. |

Nicole Wilk - Art Instructor
Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nicole is a self-taught artist who has been honing her talent over the last 9 years. After re-discovering art during a phase of deep self-discovery, Nicole re-sparked the joy she had as a child. In her paintings, Nicole’s use of bright colors and hopeful imagery aims to inspire people to create a bright life, no matter what darkness or suffering they have been through. Bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences is what Nicole is most passionate about, she is excited to share laughs, painting and joy with seniors who are truly, young at heart! |
Kayli Garcia - Art Instructor
San Diego, California, USA Kayli's life revolves around a passion for creating and learning. She is a student at UC San Diego, studying cognitive science with a focus on design and interaction, blending her intellectual curiosity with her creative spirit. Where she gets to learn about design processes in her studies, she’s also deeply involved in the art world in her free time, specializing in acrylic and graphite media. Making art has been integral to Kayli’s life for as long as she can remember, and she loves bringing her thoughts and feelings to life and synthesizing pieces together from the world around her. Beyond the classroom and studio, she is also a dancer and loves to read and knit, which equip her with various outlets to engage her mind and express herself through creating. Encouraging others to explore their own creativity and watching them discover their artistic side is incredibly rewarding for her, explaining why she always wanted to become an art teacher growing up. Kayli’s journey is all about following her passions and continuously growing as an artist, a teacher, and student. |

She is known for her abstract figurative painting practice and is represented through Maison Depoivre Art Gallery in Prince Edward County, Ontario and Unkle Collective based in London, Ontario. |
Miranda Rose - Art Instructor
San Diego, California, USA With a paintbrush in hand, Miranda lives out her passion for the arts through teaching others as well as creating her own artwork. She's an accomplished art instructor based in San Diego, with over 5 years of instructional experience. Miranda is deeply committed to fostering creativity within her community through her public and private painting events. Her patience, enthusiasm, and nurturing teaching style have empowered many budding artists to tap into their creative potential. Beyond her teaching, Miranda spends time in the studio growing in her artistic journey. She is an acrylic painter, and her art is deeply rooted in celebrating the female form, using it as a way to explore themes of identity, empowerment, and beauty. Miranda's dedication to both her craft and her students shines through in every stroke of her brush and every interaction in her classes.
